Okay, we’re all in for the summer. All year round. Why do you think we moved to Bali?!
There’s nothing more summery than the taste of passionfruit, or a Margarita, and since I love both, porque no los dos!
INGREDIENTS
45ML TEQUILA
THE JUICE OF 2 LIMES
THE PULP OF 2 PASSIONFRUITS
LOTS OF ICE
FLAKY SALT
METHOD
Prepare your salt
Lay out some flaky salt on a small saucer. This will help you dip the glass into the salt for the perfect salty rim.
Prepare your glass
I like to use an Old Fashioned style whiskey glass, because I love my Margarita over ice.
Salt the rim by wiping a cut lime around the top of the glass, and dipping it on a plate of flaky salt. One this is done, fill the glass to the top with ice.
THE COCKTAIL
- In a shaker, juice 2 limes, and add your passionfruit pulp and tequila
- Fill the shaker with ice
- Shake, shake, shake!
- Strain the mix into your prepped glass
- Add your garnish (I love a thin sliced lime, or some dehydrated fruit (link)!)

Alternatively, a Blanco tequila, which unfortunately just isn’t my thing, is perfect if you like a lighter, crisper Marg that really hits those citrusy notes. Most Margs you order out will use a Blanco unless you ask for something different, so this is probably the taste you’re used to and is a great place to start if you’re new to the Marg game (but, where have you been!?).
