CHARRED PINEAPPLE JALAPENO MARGARITA

You wouldn’t know it, based on my social presence, but I absolutely love a Margarita. Shocking, I know! Whether it’s been a good day, a bad day, a celebration or just… Tuesday, I crave a Marg above any other cocktail. It’s the citrusy tang, the smooth depth of the perfect tequila and that icy cold first sip – nothing does a better job of hitting the spot. 

The best thing, my favourite thing, about Margarita’s is that there are so many variations. Just, so many! There’s one for any mood, any weather, any place, any taste. Endless options, endless possibilities – how could you go wrong.

INGREDIENTS

MARG
45ML REPOSADO TEQUILA 
15ML TRIPLE SEC/COINTREAU 
FRESH LIME JUICE  
A FEW SLICES OF JALAPEÑO  
FRESH PINEAPPLE CUT INTO SLICES 
60ML UNSWEETENED PINEAPPLE JUICE

GARNISH
DEHYDRATED PINEAPPLE OR 
WHOLE JALAPEÑO (SO AESTHETIC!)

SALT RIM

GOOD QUALITY SALT FLAKES 
DRIED, FLAKY GROUND CHILLI OR TAJIN! (MIX OF SALT, CHILLI, LIME AND IS PERFECT WITH MARGS)

METHOD

1. IN A COCKTAIL SHAKER, ADD YOUR 
PINEAPPLE AND JALAPEÑO WITH YOUR 
TEQUILA, AND MUDDLE.
 
2. ADD ICE UP TO THE TOP OF THE SHAKER .

3. ADD 15ML TRIPLE SEC, 60ML PINEAPPLE JUICE
AND THE JUICE OF ONE LIME.

SHAKE LIKE CRAZY

4. USE THE JUICED LIME TO RIM THE GLASS,
AND ROLL INTO YOUR SALT MIX OR TAJIN
(YOU CAN CHOOSE TO RIM THE WHOLE
GLASS OR JUST A SECTION) 

5. FILL YOUR GLASS WITH FRESH ICE AND 
STRAIN YOUR COCKTAIL SHAKER MIX OVER 
THE FRESH ICE.  

6. TOP WITH YOUR GARNISH,
AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO!
