SNIPET FROM THE INTERVIEW

YOUR LOVE FOR BALI IS STRONG, WHAT MADE YOU FALL FOR THE MAGICAL ISLAND AND WHAT ARE YOU HOT SPOTS WHILE THERE?

I love Bali so much, it has a special place in my heart and always will, especially now we had our wedding here. I have been going regularly since I was around 19. From that very first trip I fell in love. The people, the architecture, the food, the lifestyle, everything is my kind of paradise.

We love staying in Canggu and basing ourselves there in a villa overlooking the rice fields – so many great healthy places to eat in Canggu and my husband loves surfing Echo Beach so it works for both of us. It’s also close to Seminyak so you can hit up all the restaurants and shopping easily on the scooter. We then love to head to one of the islands for a week to completely relax, Nusa Lembongan is so beautiful and even Padang Padang is beautiful for a getaway that’s still on the main island.

MUST DO SHOPS

Get leather made, leather everything- jackets, boots, shorts, pants EVERYTHING it fits like a gloves and is amazing quality. We use Roses next door to Motel Mexicola.

There are so many great shops in Seminyak, I usually just stroll from one end to the next.

Also love getting home-wares galore over there. Our house is filled with Bali treasures.

Most luxury resorts allow you to go there and use their facilities if you are eating and drinking with a bar tab etc., so just call ahead. We love staying in a private villa but it’s nice to go use the luxury resort facilities like the W for the day.

Island hopping, hire a boat for the day out at Nusa Lembongan and explore all the incredible snorkeling, fishing, surfing spots.

And just explore, we have found the best beaches and restaurants by getting on the scooter and exploring for hours, you will meet beautiful Balinese people, see and feel the beautiful sides to Bali. To have no plan is the best plan of all.
